Femoral Heads

Our customers can choose from four different types of Femoral Heads: CoCrMo, Implant Steel, and two different types of ceramic heads. In modular endoprosthetic hip systems, femoral heads act as articulation partners between the hip stem and the acetabular component.

Polyethylene components serve as sliding partners for metal femoral heads. They are used in PE inlays for cementless outer shells or in cemented polyethylene cups. They can also be used for bipolar heads with polyethylene inserts.

Ceramic femoral heads can additionally articulate with ceramic inserts.

All femoral heads are friction-locked to the stem component and are attachable via a 12/14 cone. We offer several sizes with different diameters and neck lengths. This allows individual adaptation of the implant system to the patient’s anatomical conditions.
