Bipolar Head

The Bipolar Head is specifically designed for the treatment of femoral neck fractures and serves as a direct articulating partner of the natural acetabulum.

The proven bipolar design, featuring separate centers of rotation for the inner head and outer shell, has been established for many years as a standard solution in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. Key benefits include a high range of motion and minimized relative movement between the acetabulum and the outer shell. The different centers of rotation promote self-centering of the implant and support natural joint mechanics.

The large contact area and highly polished metal surface help preserve the acetabular cartilage. A removable, correctly positioned locking ring securely connects the Bipolar Head to the femoral head component, providing enhanced protection against dislocation.
